My lovely Montpellier
How surprising this mikveh,
hidden in the basement of a mansion from downtown.
Buried at the time of Louis XIV, following his anti-Protestant politique, these Jews baths were rediscovered in the 1980s.
The water comes from an underground water level
and naturally passes through the stone. Its freshness and clarity are quite amazing in the heat of the Montpellier side.
My lovely Montpellier
Absolutely charming, the Montpellier city center
is called Escutcheon because of its form.
It is a maze of streets, some tiny, dating from the Middle Ages,
the golden age of the city.
The XIXth century wanted to rehabilitate all, in the Haussmannian Paris style. But foundations and stone walls remained in place, simply recoated to be more fashion.
Must to be visit !
The elegant Haussmann style with its tall windows and wrought iron balconies
The foundations are from the Middle Ages
Nod to My Lovely Versailles,
the triumphal arch built in honor of Louis XIV.
Courtyard of a renovated mansion in Haussmann style
as you would see in Paris.

JR at the Louvre
May / June 2016
If you want to live a contemporary art experience in Paris,
have a look on the work of JR on the Louvre Pyramid.
The great artist and photographer perfectly manage its effect :
as strange as it sounds, you completely forget the pyramid.
And the black and white photo adds a vintage spirit
as a small step back in time.
An amusing wink on a huge museum !
You'll have to do better than me
to overlay perfectly the image with the monument !

Au Parc de Sceaux, en avril
Sakura time in the royal parc of Sceaux.
How georgous it is ! You must not wait to see it.
Experiment this fleeting phenomenon, lying under the cherry trees...
